The Last Great Time War pitted the Time Lords of Gallifrey against the Daleks of Skaro. As the war progressed the Time Lords and the Daleks became increasingly aggressive and unscrupulous.
One such action was an attempt by the Daleks to assassinate the High Council of the Time Lords and cause a leadership vacuum at the heart of the Time Lord war effort.
The Daleks teleported into the Time Lord central command complex. Upon arrival, they split their forces into two attack groups - one being the main force and the second being diversionary.

The Chancellery Guard take up positions. |
Cut off from external support, the Chancellery Guard took up defensive positions guarding various bulkheads, going into 'Overwatch' before realizing that all the Daleks had moved!
Moving into the second turn, a familiar sound was heard.
|
"Vvorp, Vvorp" |
Despite the central command complex being shielded from the external world, a Type 40 TARDIS materialized.

The Daleks break through, |
The Daleks broke through a bulkhead. The waiting Chancellery Guard managed to inflict hits on the lead Dalek, causing it to seek cover. The remaining Daleks advanced on the Guards.
|
"Exterminate!" |
As the main Dalek force was progressing, the diversionary force was encountering resistance. The lone Dalek being successfully hit, but no wounds being inflicted. In retaliation, the Dalek temporarily ran out of energy.
|
"You will be exterminated!" |
|
"Don't ignore me, I'm the oncoming storm!" |
So intent were the Daleks on their mission that they bypassed the Doctor on their way to their objective. The Doctor meanwhile, did his best to delay the Daleks.
|
"Seek, locate, annihilate!" |
Despite the best efforts of the Doctor and the remaining Guards, the Daleks headed to the hiding place of the High Council.
|
"You are enemies of the Daleks!" |
Finally, the Doctor managed to distract the Daleks, his trusty screwdriver wounding the Dalek. Support from the Guard was limited as he went "Out of Ammo".

Finally, the Dalek from the diversion attack arrived, taking the chance to wound the remaining guard. The Doctor meantime focused his energies on the grey Dalek.
|
"Assassinate!" |
Despite barely surviving, the grey Dalek managed to eliminate two of the High Council. It was at this point that the Time Lord player conceded.
Conclusion
First and foremost this was a fun game to play. A lot of the suspense that was generated by consistent rolling of 1's and 2's. So lots of 'Out of Ammo' rolls and very few Wounds being generated.
Galactic Heroes really lent itself to Doctor Who, even if the good Doctor was somewhat ineffectual - the Sonic Screwdriver was not dominant.
We're aiming to replay this with us swapping sides.
