Last of my January painting

Image
Well, here we are, at the end of the first month of 2024 already. 🤯 Quite a productive hobby month with 3 games played and lots of items painted. Of which, here is the last of my January painting. First up, I raided my bits box for some weapons to populate a table for a back street arms dealer. Next up some exotic plants/vegetables for a market trader. Lastly, something non sci-fi related, some Norman characters for my Robin Hood game.

He's out back - A Fistful of Lead Game

Another scenario from 'For a Fistful More: Scenarios for Fistful of Lead'. This time a variation of the "Jack's out back" scenario. Ricardo and the rest of the 'Bad Hombres' have decided on some much needed rest from all their various criminal activities. They've stopped at a dusty little border village on their way down 'south of the border'. Marshall Bill and his posse have tracked down Ricardo and have patiently waited for the moment to catch Ricardo on his own. They spot Ricardo heading towards the outhouse and take their chance to arrest the miscreant. What the posse don't know is that they are walking into a trap as Ricardo has deployed his gang around the village. The posse set up in the street between the two buildings. Ricardo is hiding in the outhouse and his gang is deployed around the village - it was pointed out that the guys on the shed roof had no way of getting up or down from the roof, so they were redeployed. The table set

Ambush at the Canyon - Star Wars Redux

What is 'The Mandalorian'? To me, it's a spagetti western in space. So with that in mind, we decided to play the 'For a Fistful More: Scenarios for Fistful of Lead' scenarios as a western and then as a Star Wars themed game. Again, we used the first scenario 'The Waterin' Hole', with one of the teams hiding in the canyon with their shuttle. With the scenario selected, we then picked teams. One team led by Mando himself. The other team made up from various figures in my collection. The Mando Team The Raider Team So teams were selected. The 'Mando' team were the attackers and started in the high ground, with starting at a table edge. The 'Raider' team were the defenders and were postioned around the shuttle. Ambush at the Canyon - A Fistful of Lead game.

Woohoo, first game of 2024! This time we dived into the 'For a Fistful More: Scenarios for Fistful of Lead' scenario book. Picking the first scenario ' The Waterin' Hole ' as the basis for the game. Whilst on a manhunt for the 'Bad Hombres' gang, Marshal Bill and his posse have stopped for some rest and much needed meal. What the Marshal doesn't know is that the 'Bad Hombres' led by Ricardo are about to spring an ambush in the canyon. The posse start surrounding the camp fire. The 'Bad Hombres' start on the high ground in the canyon. Also, they took up the option of  placing a gang member in reserve, with the caveat that he turns up at one end of the canyon within the first three turns. Marshal Bill would get 5 Renown points for killing or capturing Ricardo. Also, he would get 1 Renown point for each of the 'Bad Hombres' killed or captured. The 'Bad Hombres' had different victory conditions. Ricardo couldn't leave the
