My April 2024 Painting.

Well April came and has nearly gone. Despite the Easter holidays, I did find some time to get some painting done. First up was the latest expansions for the board game 'Star Trek: Away Missions'. These two expansions introduce the original Enterprise bridge crew to the game. Spock, Kirk and McCoy Chekov and Sulu Uhura, Scotty and Leslie Completing these two expansions gave me nudge to complete the rest of the Next Generation crew too. Riker, Picard and Shelby La Forge, Data and Worf Wesley, Troi and Beverly I did manage to complete some non Away Missions painting too. I picked up some Twi'lek style Smugglers from OttsWorkshop on Etsy. Here's the first one I have painted. These are well printed miniatures and an absolute joy to paint. Massacre at Briar's Bend - Star Wars Redux

Aa always, a Star Wars version of a scenario from the 'For a Fistful More: Scenarios for Fistful of Lead' with the third scenario "Massacre at Briar's Bend". An Imperial Army vehicle has suffered a power loss and has been left stranded in hostile territory. A distress signal has been sent out, but it will be some time before assistance will arrive. A local native tribe have spotted the stricken vehicle and plan a revenge attack on the Imperial invaders. The natives start in two groups of 5, in the opposite corners not covered by woods. To add a bit of drama to the game, the game length would only be determined at the start of Turn 6. Rolling a D10, a result of 1-6 would mean the game lasts 6 turns, any other result would the number of turns the game lasts. The natives on the other side of the river used both their turns to advance to the river. Unfortunately, they were spotted by some Imperial Troopers, whose blaster fire was enough to inflict some casualties.
