He's out back - A Fistful of Lead Game

Another scenario from 'For a Fistful More: Scenarios for Fistful of Lead'. This time a variation of the "Jack's out back" scenario.

Ricardo and the rest of the 'Bad Hombres' have decided on some much needed rest from all their various criminal activities. They've stopped at a dusty little border village on their way down 'south of the border'.

Marshall Bill and his posse have tracked down Ricardo and have patiently waited for the moment to catch Ricardo on his own.

They spot Ricardo heading towards the outhouse and take their chance to arrest the miscreant. What the posse don't know is that they are walking into a trap as Ricardo has deployed his gang around the village.

The posse set up in the street between the two buildings. Ricardo is hiding in the outhouse and his gang is deployed around the village - it was pointed out that the guys on the shed roof had no way of getting up or down from the roof, so they were redeployed.

The table set-up

Jorge (in his trademark yellow poncho) up on the roof activated first. His two actions leading to wounds against the drunk Deputy and Smith. To make matters worse, Hector (up on the roof) used his trusty pistol to put the Deputy and Smith both 'Out of the Fight'.

Seeing their comrades getting shot down in the street, the Marshal and Doc made a beeline for the Outhouse. "2 Gun" Duggen did his best to return fire.

Redeployed Bad Hombres

The Marshal made it to the outhouse and started hammering on the door. Carlos came out of hiding and tried to shoot down the Marshal. "2 Gun" Duggen made him regret coming out of cover. Elsewhere, Doc duck backed into cover.

The 'Bad Hombres' on the cantina roof tried to shoot down the Marshal. Fortunately, for the Marshal, their shooting was somewhat wayward. "2 Gun" Duggen did his bit to pin down the shooters on the roof.

With the help of Doc, the Marshal finally smashed down the outhouse door. This led to a three way melee that ended up with Ricardo in handcuffs - the Marshal had his man!

With Ricardo in 'cuffs', the next objective was to get him off the table alive. The desperate 'Bad Hombres' risked hitting Ricardo by shooting at the Marshal and Doc. Eventually, Doc suffered enough 'Shock' that he had to duck behind some nearby rocks.

Seeing the Marshall was trying to get Ricardo off the table, "2 Gun" Duggen provided covering fire. The remaining 'Bad Hombres realised they were hopelessly out of position and chased after the posse.

Despite a last minute attempt by the 'Bad Hombres to shoot down the posse, the Marshal was able to escort Ricardo off the table and into a courthouse.

Another fun game that ended up in a resounding victory for the Marshall and the posse. They took away 10 Renown points from the encounter. Despite the early bloodletting, only three characters were ever put out of the fight, with rest suffering various wounds and shock.
