Durga Besadii Kalro - The Aspiring Hutt Overlord

Durga Besadii Kalro

In the aftermath of Jabba the Hutt’s demise, a power vacuum grips the criminal underworld. Rival syndicates, opportunistic bounty hunters, and ambitious crime lords all vie for control over the remnants of Jabba’s empire. But among them, one figure stands out—a distant cousin of the late gangster, determined to claim what he sees as his rightful place at the top.

Durga Besadii Kalro hails from the Besadii kajidic, one of the most powerful Hutt crime families, though he was always considered a distant and lesser member of the clan. Unlike Jabba, who ruled with an iron fist from Tatooine, Durga operated in the shadows, pulling strings on Nar Shaddaa and beyond. For years, he managed smuggling rings, spice trade routes, and illicit gambling dens, carefully amassing wealth and influence while avoiding the spotlight. Now, with Jabba dead, the galaxy is watching to see who will rise—and Durga intends to make sure it’s him.

Unlike some of his brutish Hutt relatives, Durga is a strategist. He doesn’t just crush his enemies—he outmaneuvers them. While he isn’t above displays of force, he prefers manipulation, blackmail, and carefully orchestrated alliances to brute intimidation. He knows that brute strength alone won’t be enough to seize Jabba’s empire; he needs the loyalty of Jabba’s former lieutenants, the cooperation of key bounty hunters, and, perhaps most importantly, the approval of the Hutt Grand Council.

To cement his claim, Durga begins making bold moves—eliminating rivals, bribing officials, and reaching out to disillusioned members of Jabba’s cartel. He establishes a stronghold on Nal Hutta, where he hosts lavish feasts and negotiations, presenting himself as the rightful heir to Jabba’s domain. Some support him, seeing in him the cunning and ruthlessness needed to restore Hutt dominance. Others seek to betray him, believing they can carve out their own slice of Jabba’s fallen empire.

But Durga has no intention of sharing power.

The battle for supremacy in the underworld has begun, and Durga Besadii Kalro is prepared to do whatever it takes to sit on Jabba’s throne.

  1. Nice figure, and I like the story you created for him. I don't have any Huts for my skirmish games. Where did you get yours?

    1. Thank you. He's a 28mm alien miniature from the Ignis Quadrant EC3D range, printed by Micksbits via Etsy.
