Loot Tokens

There are two types of loot tokens:

  • Data Loot – Represents digital information, schematics, or digital currency.

  • Physical Loot – Represents money, valuables, or artifacts.

Setup

  • Place one loot token at the center of the table.
    Roll a die to determine its type:

    • On 1–5, place a Data Loot token.

    • On 6–10, place a Physical Loot token.

  • Then, each player takes turns placing two additional loot tokens - one of each type (one Data, one Physical).
    Tokens must be placed:

    • More than halfway across the table from the placing player’s table edge.

    • At least 6" away from any other loot token.

Loot Effects

Data Loot

  • Requires 2 successful Hard Tasks to download.

  • No penalty while carrying.

Physical Loot

  • Takes 1 action to pick up.

  • While carrying:

    • Movement is halved.

    • The figure is encumbered: -1 Fight, -1 Shoot.

General Rules

  • A figure cannot pick up loot if an enemy is within 1".

  • When a figure picks up loot, move the token with them.

  • If a carrying figure is killed, drop the token where they fell.

  • If a figure exits the table while carrying loot, it is secured for that crew. The figure and loot are removed from play.

Renown Points

  • Data Loot: 2 Renown

  • Physical Loot: 1 Renown

  • Main Loot (centre token): 6 Renown

Other Notes

  • Loot tokens do not block line of sight, grant cover, or affect movement - unless carried.

The Wayfinder dropped out of hyperspace with a shimmer of stretched starlight snapping back into stars. Brains deftly guided the aging freighter through reentry, hands dancing across the control panel. “I’ve got the beacon. Plotting for the settlement now.” Cap’in leaned over his shoulder, eyes scanning the glowing readouts.
