Buried deep within the jungle and long forgotten by the galaxy, this ruin was once a Separatist droid foundry  - an industrial hub designed to churn out battle droids around the clock during the height of the Clone Wars. Back then, it echoed with the clank of metal feet and the cold hum of assembly lines. Now? It’s quiet , choked by vines and wrapped in rot. But the jungle hasn’t buried it. Not completely. First game of 'Exploit Zero - Mission Critical'

Expolit Zero - Mission Critical by Patrick Todoroff is a set of miniature wargaming rules designed for small-scale, fast-paced sci-fi skirmishes.  Designed for two players, the game is intended for use with various sci-fi settings between elite three-person teams - known as Direct Action Units (DAUs). Each player commands a DAU comprising a Ronin (ranged specialist), a Razor (melee expert), and a Specialist (medic/hacker). Players engage in missions with hidden objectives, meaning each team may pursue different goals within the same environment. The game employs a streamlined action system where each operative has access to three dice - a D6, D8, and D10 - allocated to perform actions such as movement, attacks, or hacking attempts. Successes are typically achieved on rolls of 4 or higher. Also, a free movement action is allowed as well and this can be substituted for other actions. Bold as Brass, Quick on the Feet: Chivalrous Bum in Sherwood

So, last night we got our first game of Chivalrous Bum to the table - a wonderfully simple but very effective game of medieval melee. I actually discovered it indirectly thanks to Mike Demana of Lead Legionaries fame . Mike has been playing a fantasy game called Four Delvers , written by David Bezio , and while looking into that ruleset I followed the trail back to Chivalrous Bum , which is also by Bezio. Just as importantly, the rules are free to download, which makes giving it a try an easy decision. Sometimes a bit of curiosity, a good recommendation, and a zero price tag are all the excuse you need. Digging out some Robin Hood and Norman figures that have yet to see the tabletop - remnants of a long‑dormant Dragon Rampant project - I put together two opposing Retinues. One represents the Merrymen , led by Sir Robin of Locksley (Robin Hood) , while the other is commanded by Sir Guy of Gisborne.
