A foray into Stargrave

Image
I managed to get a hold of a sprue of the recently released Stargrave crewmen. You get five bodies, and assortment of arms, a variety of heads and various equipment to add to them. You can see the five figures that I managed to construct below.   However, you do have a lot of unused plastic leftover. Not wanting to throw it out and not wishing to having it lying around in my bits box, I went back to Anvil Industries for some bodies.  First up, I ordered some 'jumpsuit' bodies and added various arms, heads and kit to them. Secondly, I ordered some separate legs and torsos and used the remainder of the Stargrave sprue to add some details.   So, a five figure sprue has yielded fifteen figures in total and almost used up all the sprue pieces.   No to paint them!

Introducing Clone Force 44 AHA The Filthy Four!

Image
Impact, Cypher, Sarge & Focus     I have been toying with this idea for some time. Then 'The Bad Batch' made an appearance on Disney+ and this idea finally took off. As we would be using the 'Hardwired' set of rules, we needed to create a team of four characters. So we created Sarge, a 'Sawbones' as defined in the rules, but provides squad support. Next up is Cypher, who is our 'Splicer' and will carry out any cyber related activities. Lastly, we have Impact and Focus, a pair of 'Ronin' who are armed with 'Smart Ammo' and EMP Micro Grenades.  All the Clones are wearing armour, which gives them a D8 Dodge roll, but -1" to their movement. Opposition will be deployed using the rules defined in 'Nightwatch'. Currently, D6 opposition will be standard Battle Droids and D8 opposition will be Super Battle Droids. Still trying to figure what the D10 opposition will be!

My MDF castle

Image
With the easing of Covid-19 lockdown in England, this afforded the opportunity to visit my parents and enjoy a much delayed Christmas. The result being, that I managed to pick up this laser cut MDF Castle kit. Also, what was nice, was that my dad had taken the time to add some scenic papers to the walls and steps, so that it is ready to use straight away. Given the number of pieces, it can be set-up in a variety of different ways. Great for a medieval or fantasy village, town or fort.

The Showdown

Took the chance to have some lockdown solo Star Wars gaming.   Having escaped the implementation of 'Order 66', Jedi Knights Will Jon-Si and Seren Lil-Ro, find themselves marooned in the Outer Rim. Arriving in a sleepy backwater, the Jedi Knights discover that the town is under the thumb of a local pirate, who run the town as their own private fiefdom. After trying to maintain a low profile, the Jedi find that they cannot look the other way. It's time to take action. High Noon! I used the Fistful of Lead Solo rules to run the Pirates. As a result, this led to some Pirates charging Will Jon-Si in close combat. Judicious use of Force pushes, led to the Pirates being pushed back and suffering multiple Shock tokens. One of the Pirates shot Seren Lil-Ro in the back. Rolling on the Wound chart led to her going 'Out of the Fight'. One Jedi left to face three Pirates. Another successful hit on a Jedi, fortunately c...
