Using Frostgrave for Star Wars

This is something I put together back in 2015 before all the Star Wars miniatures games made an appearance.

In order to use Frostgrave for Star Wars skirmishes, we made the following changes to the core rules.
  • Jedi Knights/Sith Lords = Wizards. Padawans = Apprentices. All other roles can be used. For example, we gave the Marksman profile to the Stormtroopers. A Gamorrean with an axe was classed as a Barbarian.
  • Wizards start with +5 Fight and 15 Armour.
    • Using the above, this then means that apprentices then start at +3 Fight and 10 Armour.
  • Both wizard & apprentice get +2 Fight from using a lightsaber.
  • Only Force users get the benefit from Critical Hits.
  • Force users can cast whilst in hand to hand combat.
  • Leap can be used on self as well as line of sight characters.
  • Ranged weapons like blasters, don't need an action to reload.

Also, we looked at the Frostgrave spell list and came up with lists for Jedi & Sith. Each spell starts at the published level in the Frostgrave book.

Jedi Powers (Spells)
  • Petrify 12
  • Time Store 14
  • Fast Act 8
  • Elemental Shield 10
  • Push 8
  • Heal 8
  • Leap 8
  • Telekinesis 8
Sith Powers (Spells)
  • Petrify 12
  • Time Store 14
  • Fast Act 8
  • Elemental Bolt 12
  • Push 8
  • Strike Dead 18
  • Leap 8
  • Telekinesis 8

As in Frostgrave, it's possible to learn new spells through the discovery of grimoires and scrolls. Just consider it as learning something new about the Force. Most spells can be rationalized for the Star Wars universe. Also, use your common sense on spell discovery as not all spells lend themselves to the Jedi and vice versa for the Sith.
Anyway, I hope this helps.
