Trash Run

The message cam down from the higher ups in the corporation. Another upstart gang was beginning to cause problems.

After our success in the previous mission, we were instructed to perform a 'hit' on the upstart gang.

The plan was simple, swoop in, perform a 'hit' and get out quickly (the mission objective was to stay alive and eliminate at least 14 of the opposition).

Turn 1 - d6 H-SEC deploy.

The crew approached the gang HQ and sought to take out the patrolling sentries. Unfortunately, shooting proved to be inaccurate or ineffective.
Turn 2 - The Ronin takes up a sniping position.

On the right-hand side of the playing area, the Ronin moved to the available high ground and took the chance to snipe the opposition. The Razor successfully engaged a sentry in melee and advanced. On the left-hand side, the Sawbones and the Splicer took out the remaining sentries.

Turn 2 - More d6 H-SEC deploy.

Turn 3 - Foolhardy d6 Gangers seek out the crew.

From elevated positions, the crew began to take down the advancing d6 H-SEC, however the H-SEC proved to be surprisingly resilient.

Turn 3 - d6 Gangers advance on the crew.

Turn 3 - d8 H-SEC deploy

Turn 4 - Our Razor engages some gangers in melee combat (and does badly!).

Some newly arrived d8 H-SEC deployed just below the Ronin.  This was an opportunity to use a frag grenade and the opportunity was taken. The crew were now narrowly short of achieving their objective.

With some d6 H-SEC hiding in the shadows, the Razor engaged them in melee combat. Despite her skills, the H-SEC put up a good fight, inflicting some wounds in the process.

Turn 4 - More d8 H-SEC arrive.

Turn 4 - The remaining d6 H-SEC hunt down the crew.
With increasing numbers on their side, the crew managed to inflict the required number of casualties. So mission achieved as far as the objectives were concerned.

As we had time, we played out getting the crew of the table. This ended up being a total victory for the H-SEC with the sheer weight of numbers overwhelming the crew. Only the Sawbones escaped unscathed.

  1. Good looking game. Sounds like Command should have ordered a 'tactical withdrawal' much sooner though. Thanks for posting.

    1. Many thanks for your comment. The objective of the scenario was to eliminate 14 of the opposition, which was achieved. Given we had extra time and given the location of the crew, we decided to play out the scenario to see what happened, with the result documented above.

However, strictly speaking we achieved the mission objectives.
