A Wagon load of Trouble - A Fistful of Lead Game
At the end of the previous game, the 'Bad Hombres' had got away with the gold. All they needed to do now was get the gold safely away to their hideout. Unfortunately, the Natives, the Miners and now Marshal Bill and his posse are after the gold.
The aim of this game was for a side to get the horse and wagon containing the gold of the opposite side of the table. The 'Bad Hombres' started with control of the wagon and the other sides deployed around the table edge.
Turn 1
The 'Bad Hombres' wasted no time in trying to get wagon along the road. Those armed with rifles deployed to provide cover for the wagon. Those armed with pistols moved to head off the encroaching Natives.
The Miners advanced out of the woods.
Turn 2
Having seen how effective the Natives were in the prvious game, the 'Bad Hombres' decided to get up close and personal with them. Sneaking around the rocks and trees and taking shots when the opportunity arose.
The 'Bad Hombres' tried to move the wagon. However, they now started to come into range of the Miners and the Posse. A rifle shot rang out wounding the man leading the horses.
The Miners caught sight of the Posse and gunfight broke out between the two factions. The Miners putting up a better fight than they did in the previous game.
Turn 3
Lots of lead was flying around, but very little of it was causing wounds. We started to run out of shock tokens due to poor rolling on the Wound Chart.
Turn 4
The first of the Miners approached the wagon. The 'Bad Hombres' failed to notice this as they too busy fighting the Natives.
The gunfight between the Posse and the rest of the Miners continued. Shots now started to cause wounds. However, the Queen of Hearts card was played quite often.
Turn 5
The 'Bad Hombres' and Natives continued to hammer away at each other.
The gunfight between the Posse and the Miners grew more bloody. Neither side being to deliver 'Out of the Fight' results.
Turn 6
With a 'Bad Hombre' knocked down, one of the Miners took control of the wagon and coaxed the horse to move. Another Miner with a rifle provided cover.
The Natives started to retreat as wounds and shock made them ineffective in battle. The other 'Bad Hombres' realised that they had been distracted and the wagon was gone!
Turn 7
The Miners started to pull back from their gunfight with the Posse to cover the Miner controlling the horse and wagon. The Miners needed one more turn to get the wagon to the end of the road.
The rest of the 'Bad Hombres' realised that they were out of range to stop the Miners. The Posse sniped from the cover of the trees.
Turn 8
The cards were lucky for the Miners and they were able to move the wagon off the end of the road.
Conclusion
Another fun four way game. Ineffective dice rolling led to lots of hits generating shock but no wounds.
the Miners having a much better game this time around.
