Table Scatter

Going through my painting box, I found some resin scenic pieces that I had no recollection of buying. Anyway, a quick undercoat and then it was a case applying some paint to them. The oil drums will be used as objectives for a variety of games. However, I did find some old 40K transfers, so I applied them to the drums so that they look like gang tags or graffiti. 


Next up was a fridge, fridge-freezer and a washing machine. Finding some pictures online, I painted them up to look abandoned and dumped.


Last up, some old fashioned metal rubbish/garbage bins.

Cruising through the empty streets, Jezza and the gang stumbled upon a promising spot for exploration: three houses and a construction site that looked ripe for looting.   They pulled up in the Transit and quickly devised a plan. Jezza and Captain Slow would tackle two of the houses, while Hamster and Stig would take on the remaining one and the construction site. Turn 1 Captain Slow sprinted to the first house. It feels like a lifetime ago, but when Jezza was a kid, he used to spend time camping in a cottage owned by his Uncle Bob. Bob had a bit of a survivalist streak, and Jezza can't help but wonder if his uncle might still be alive, holed up in that same cottage. If nothing else, some of Bob's survival gear might still be there. Turn 1 After losing Tiff and with The Stig nowhere to be found, Jezza had no choice but to bring in some new recruits. The bitter cold of the "Winter of Discontent" gripped the streets of the United Kingdom in 1978–1979. The air was thick with tension as strikes swept the country, paralyzing essential services. Everywhere you looked, there were mountains of rubbish piled up, spilling into the streets like a silent warning of the collapse of order. The once-bustling city centers now reeked of decay and neglect, the towering piles of waste hiding something far worse than the filth of human living. Hospitals, strained by the lack of staff, now only treated emergency cases, but many were too far gone to save. Overworked doctors and nurses moved like shadows through the half-empty wards, their faces drawn with exhaustion, unaware that the dead they pronounced were not staying dead.
